Description
Extremely limited production of just ten pieces. (Weirdly, numbered 00 – 09 !)
Every tag retains significant original paintwork. Both sides engraved.
About as a good as it gets for authentic, unmolested, WW2 skin.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G-14 was a late-war variant of the iconic Bf 109 fighter served as a key frontline aircraft for the Luftwaffe during World War II. Derived from the Bf 109 G series, the G-14 was designed to address some limitations of earlier G models while balancing performance and production simplicity. A notable upgrade was its reinforced airframe and improved aerodynamics, along with a refined supercharger that enhanced performance at medium to high altitudes.
This tag was cut from a fuselage access panel situated in the tail section of the aircraft. The panel was recovered at Flugplatz Plantlünne, a former base of Ill. JG26 during its deployment there from November 1944 to March 1945.
