Description
This Tupolev TU-154M (Serial Number: 0857) was first delivered to West – Siberian division of Aeroflot based in Tolmachevo Airport (Russian Soviet Socialist Republic) in December of 1990.
She began her career in Soviet Aeroflot as CCCP-85687, however with the demise of USSR the following year and closure and restructure of the West – Siberian division, ‘0857’ was re-registered as RA-85687, of a new, independent airline Siberia.
In 1996, this TU-154M went to work to the Islamic Republic of Iran, as EP-MAC with Iran Air Tours briefly, before returning to Russia. Later, the Tupolev will return to Iran Air Tours as EP-MAZ, on a short lease.
New century, RA-85687 began with a re-paint, losing the classic Soviet Aeroflot styled paint scheme, having a refreshed white and blue Siberia scheme, which became a signature livery for the airline before re-branding.
In 2006, the airline began the process of re-branding into the current form, in which it is present today – S7 Airlines, with ‘85687’ becoming 1 of 8 Tupolev’s to get on of the most unique liveries of the type, the green color scheme which it wore up until 2008, when the airframe and type were retired by the airline.
The final days of this TU-154M were spent at Mineralnye Vody Aviation Repair Plant – 411, were eventually it was scrapped in 2013, having flown a total of 33882 hours and completing 12776 landings.
